The successful candidate will provide specially designed instruction and support to students with disabilities in resource and inclusive settings. The teacher will create a safe, supportive learning environment in which students are engaged and instruction is responsive to individual strengths, needs, and readiness levels.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and review Individualized Education Programs in accordance with state and federal requirements
  • Provide specially designed instruction using evidence-based strategies, appropriate accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology as needed
  • Assess student performance, collect and analyze academic and behavioral data, maintain accurate records, and use results to guide instruction and report progress
  • Serve as case manager for assigned students and ensure that required timelines, meetings, documentation, and procedural requirements are completed accurately
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, support staff, administrators, and families to coordinate instruction and student services
  • Support students across resource, general education, and other school settings while promoting access, independence, positive behavior, and meaningful participation
  • Develop and maintain an organized schedule of instructional activities, services, meetings, and case-management responsibilities
  • Provide clear, timely communication to families and members of each student's educational team regarding needs, services, and progress
  • Direct and collaborate with paraprofessionals and other support staff assigned to students or instructional settings
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and records in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and district procedures
  • Use district technology and educational platforms effectively to support instruction, documentation, communication, and assessment
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the building principal.
