About Us Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy is a private boarding school serving high school students who have previously benefited from therapeutic intervention and are now developing increased independence, responsibility, and academic success. Our supportive learning environment features average class sizes of just 4-8 students , allowing teachers to build meaningful relationships and provide individualized instruction that helps students thrive. Position Summary Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy is seeking a passionate and engaging Part-Time Spanish Teacher to teach Spanish I and Spanish II courses, with the potential to teach Spanish III and IV depending on enrollment and qualifications.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with high school students, creates an engaging classroom environment, and is committed to helping students succeed academically and personally. Responsibilities Teach Spanish I and Spanish II courses, with the potential to teach Spanish III and IV Develop lesson plans aligned with Utah State Standards Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction that promotes language acquisition and cultural understanding Assess student learning and provide timely grading and feedback Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with IEPs and 504 Plans Foster a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment Collaborate with school staff to support student success Qualifications Required Fluency in both English and Spanish Strong communication and organizational skills A passion for working with high school students Preferred Previous teaching or classroom experience Experience working with high school students Familiarity with differentiated instruction, IEPs, and 504 Plans An interest in pursuing a Utah teaching license Teaching License A current Utah teaching license is not required for this position. Candidates who are interested in pursuing teacher licensure are strongly encouraged to apply. Schedule Part-time 2 days per week Approximately 2-4 hours per day Flexible scheduling based on the school calendar Compensation $22.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
