Job Description

As an Old Dominion ASAP Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your community by helping individuals gain the knowledge and tools needed to make positive life choices. Through engaging classroom instruction and approved educational curriculum, you'll guide participants from a variety of referral sources through programs focused on alcohol and drug awareness, accountability, and personal growth. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching, connecting with people, and helping others succeed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate in-person educational classes using approved VASAP curriculum and instructional materials. Maintain accurate participant attendance records and communicate with ASAP staff using approved software systems. Effectively manage and engage classroom groups of approximately 15-30 participants, depending on location. Deliver instruction in a professional, respectful, and supportive learning environment. Be available to work evening and weekend hours as needed to meet program scheduling requirements. Conduct classes in Warren County, Page County, and the City of Winchester. Instructor assignments are based on location preference and program needs. Uphold the organization's mission, core values, and commitment to excellence. Provide exceptional customer service to participants, community partners, and fellow team members. Demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, and a positive attitude in service to others. Perform other related duties as assigned. B achelor's Degree from an accredited university or college with emphasis in Education, Criminal Justice, or a related field; or any combination of experience equal to education requirements preferred. Two years of experience preferred in education, law enforcement, or counseling services in Alcohol, Drug Abuse, and Driver Safety functions. Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively, facilitate classroom instruction, and interact with participants in both languages.
