Spanish Teacher

We are currently seeking a Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 at an independent school in Dorset, VT.

Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

Teach several sections of Spanish across various proficiency levels for students in grades 6-12. Create opportunities for students to practice conversational Spanish and improve pronunciation and comprehension. Serve as an advisor students ensuring student success. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior. Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.

Middle School Spanish Spanish Teacher Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred. Proven written and verbal proficiency in Spanish. 2-3 years of previous teaching experience. No teaching license or credential is required. Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community. Willingness to assist with extracurricular and school community activities.

Additional Desired Qualities:

Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred. Experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) preferred.
