In this role, you will inspire young learners, foster a nurturing classroom environment, and implement engaging curriculum that supports developmental milestones. As part of our Mandarin-English immersion program, you will help children develop language skills, cultural awareness, and a love of learning in a bilingual setting. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement Sunshine Tots curriculum, adapting to each child's individual needs Support Mandarin-English language development through daily interactions, activities, songs, stories, and classroom routines Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment Guide and support assistant teachers Build strong relationships with families and communicate child progress Support enrollment, Early Achievers (QRIS), and accreditation goals Ensure compliance with Washington State licensing requirements Assist with daily operations, record-keeping, and classroom preparation Qualifications WA State ECE Stackable Certificate or equivalent (preferred) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) 2-3 years of early childhood education experience (preferred) Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift children and work both indoors and outdoors Mandarin-English bilingual proficiency preferred; fluent Mandarin speakers are strongly encouraged to apply Ideal Qualities Passion for early childhood education Patience, warmth, and empathy Strong communication and organizational skills Appreciation for multicultural and bilingual learning environments Team-oriented and adaptable mindset Benefits Paid holidays and PTO Professional development opportunities Supportive team environment Growth and advancement opportunities
