ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ PROFESSOR

Center of excellence-Neuroscience Job Summary/Basic Functions The Neuroscience Center of Excellence, LSU School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Applicants must have an established record of innovative research on neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer's Parkinson's, ALS-FTD, multiple sclerosis, stroke/vascular/ dementia, traumatic brain injury, or related neurological disorders. Successful candidates are expected to have an established recognized presence in the field and competitively funded research (NIH R01 or equivalent for a few years). They will be expected to participate in graduate/medical student education and mentoring. Depending on their research focus, recruited faculty members will be jointly appointed in a clinical department. The Neuroscience Center of Excellence, School of Medicine, LSU Health New Orleans, is home to 15 independent neuroscience teams. The Neuroscience Center has built an outstanding environment that includes state-of-the-art technologies and advanced instrumentation
