Job Description

Visiting Full-Time Faculty Position in Organismal Biology Description The Department of Biology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting full-time faculty position for the 2026-2027 academic year to begin in August 2026. The visiting faculty member will teach three courses each semester: two sections of Introduction to Organismal Biology and one section of a non-majors biology course in both the Fall 2026 and in the spring 2027. Visiting full-time faculty are eligible to apply for support to present at a conference or attend a professional development program through the Provost's Supplemental Research Fund. The College will support reimbursement of relocation costs within its published policies. The College offers full benefits and a salary of $70,000. The College will not support H-1B visa applications that require the $100,000 employer fee. Qualifications Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field. A Ph.D. in biology or related fields is preferred but ABD candidates in such fields will be considered.
