Job Description

The Ohio State University at Mansfield invites applications for a Biology Lecturer position starting in August 2026. Weseek a dedicated instructor committed to high‑quality undergraduate teaching and student success. Courses may include introductoryBiology for majors or non-majors, Anatomy, and related courses, or other offerings depending on departmental needs and candidateexpertise. This full-time instructional position supports OSU Mansfield's mission of providing accessible, affordable, andstudent‑centered education to a diverse population, including many first‑generation, commuter, and pre‑health students. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality instruction in assignedundergraduate Biology courses (lecture and/or laboratory) Prepare course materials, assessments, and syllabi aligned withdepartmental standards Provide timely, constructive feedback to students Maintain regular communication and hold officehours (in‑person or virtual) to support student learning Foster a supportive classroom environment Collaborate withother faculty and staff as needed to support student learning and ensure curriculum alignment across sections. RequiredQualifications Master's degree in biology‑related discipline or a closely related field Demonstrated abilityor strong potential to teach undergraduate students effectively Commitment to pedagogy and supporting diverselearners Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in a biology‑related discipline Prior Experienceteaching biology, anatomy, or related courses at he college level.
