Position Description Summary Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester, part-time one semester or part-time academic year) as needs arise in the Department of Biological and Health Sciences. The department offers B.A. in Biology, B.S. in Biology, Biomedical, Public Health, Medical Imaging, Health Sciences, Nutrition, and Respiratory Therapy, as well as M.S. degrees in Biology and Athletic Training. Duties Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment, a successful applicant must be qualified to teach introductory and/or upper-level courses from the required or discipline or subject area. Course(s) may include Principles of Biology 1 and 2 laboratory, Anatomy & Physiology 1 and 2 laboratory and/or other upper-level Biology and Health Sciences courses. The location for these temporary positions varies with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred)

Minimum Requirements:

An earned Master's or Doctoral degree in Biology, Health Sciences, or related field. Teaching and/or professional experience relevant to the course assignment needs of the department at the time of appointment. Professional certificatoin/licensure relevant to the discipline may be required for teaching certain courses. Proof of certification must be provided.

Preferred Qualifications:

Terminal or advanced degree in speciality related to course needs. Previous experience teaching at the undergraduate level. Previous experience teaching laboratory courses. Other professional experiences or background sufficient to support the knowledge-base required to carry out the teaching duties associated with the courses to be assigned.
