The Educator will report to the Clinical Manager, Education. The Health Educator will develop curriculum, orientations, competencies, as well as audit tools approved by ACM Leadership. In addition, The Health Educator assists in Quality Assessments and other Administrative Duties as assigned by ACM Leadership. The Health Educator
  • a seasoned Comprehensive Care Coordinator, Community Health Worker or Clinical Social Worker
  • is responsible for assisting with clinical and/or administrative management, training and coordination within the scope of their practice across ACM.
The Health Educator will oversee the development of trainers and/or preceptors within the department across a variety of roles as appropriate. The Health Educator will also provide support to the Clinical Manager in offering training to residents, physicians and other healthcare providers across UCLA Health.
Salary Range:
$86,400
  • $184,800
Annual Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Related Area and/or Equivalent Experience/Training 3-5 Years Healthcare Experience Demonstrated educational and organizational abilities including curriculum development (written documentation, presentations and trainings), principles of adult learning, evaluating, coaching and development of staff. Demonstrated resourcefulness, effective written and verbal communications, diplomacy, organizational, and analytic skills. Strong relationship building skills rooted in emotional intelligence. Demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary medical and psychosocial teams in a variety of settings including inpatient, ambulatory and community-based organizations. Demonstrated leadership abilities with previous demonstration of consistency, independence, flexibility, initiative, and creativity Intermediate to advanced skill in learning and/or leveraging EMR (EPIC) and other healthcare software (ICAP, AIDIN, findhelp, etc.) to coordinate care for patients. Intermediate to advanced skill with various office computer software including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Internet, WordPress, Canva, Qualtrics, etc.
Preferred:
Master's Degree 3 + years or Ambulatory/Outpatient Experience Appropriate California State Certification or Licensure (if CHW or CSW) Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Ability to design and/or implement data collection tools. Working knowledge of the principles of case management.
