ABOUT THE POSITON
The teaching assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, the Trade, Technology and Community Learning campus or other college teaching locations. The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online or off campus and is subject to change as needed. Part-time faculty positions are as needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure. Part-time faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience, OR , Associate degree and six years of professional experience, OR meet equivalent qualifications established by the District, AND Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Desirable Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree is preferred Evidence of involvement in aspects of hospitality operations such as: Purchasing & Cost Control, Catering & Banquet, and Food & Beverage management. Experience with Learning Management Systems or teaching Distance Learning courses. Evidence of teaching or training in Hospitality Management Experience with a variety of styles of service in the Hospitality Industry. Food Safety Manager Certification from any of the following ANSI accredited organization Evidence of experience with the Culinary Industry. Evidence of hands-on experience in the commercial/industrial kitchens (e.g. hotels, fine-dining restaurant) Evidence of hands-on cooking and supervisory experience.
