Job Description:
Dean College's Dean R. Sander '47 School of Business is looking for a dynamic, experienced, student-centered educators to teach in-person business courses during the Fall 2026 semester. The College seeks Adjunct Faculty who focus on experiential learning and active engagement in their classrooms. Adjuncts chosen to teach at Dean create a compelling and professional learning environment for students of diverse learning backgrounds. We are seeking an adjunct instructor(s) for BUS-123: Introduction to Business , BUS-151: Design Thinking , and BUS-495: Business Policy and Strategic Management . These courses are 3-credit classes that meet for 2.5 hours/week. The adjunct pay rate is $3,300/section. Adjunct faculty are expected to hold one office hour each week for each section they teach. The Business program provides a course charter with course objectives as well as sample syllabi. All faculty are expected to make active use of the learning management system (Canvas) at least at a minimum level established by the College. There are currently three sections available and are scheduled as follows: BUS-123: Introduction to Business | TTH 9:30-10:45am BUS-151: Design Thinking | TTH 12:30-1:45pm BUS-495: Business Policy and Strategic Management | MW 12:30-1:45pm Must be able to teach in-person on campus in Franklin, MA.
Requirements:
Master's degree in business or a related field is required; PhD in a related discipline is preferred. Experience teaching at the college level in person is required; experience in the business industry or teaching within the business field is preferred. Strong computer skills is required. Experience using technologies and/or strategies to enhance pedagogy is required. Ability and willingness to be responsive and supportive to students through college online resources and digital tools is required. Experience with or willingness to learn Canvas, our learning management system, and classroom media is required. Expertise in learner-centered teaching is required. Experience and ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse student body with a variety of learning styles, required.
