Full Job Description Overview and Responsibilities:

Job Summary The course-contracted faculty member develops, prepares, and teaches a variety of coursework in the M.S. in Information Technology Project Management and the M.S. in Project Management degrees. Course-contracted faculty are employed on a term-by-term basis. Courses may be taught during the day, evening, weekends, and/or online.
Salary Range:
$3300-$4200/course contract Main Duties & Responsibilities Provide varied and relevant instruction designed to meet the educational needs of assigned students in the Graduate Programs in Project Management in accordance with the University's and Program's policies, procedures, and approved curricula. Responds to the special needs and reasonable accommodations of students with disabilities. Interacts with the Director of Access Services to ensure that reasonable accommodations are appropriately provided. Provides students with a course syllabus, which will minimally include the requirements listed in the Syllabus Template; and submits copies to the appropriate program director and academic dean. Maintains and submits accurate grade rosters and class attendance records within established deadlines. Assess student progress and post student grades. Provides for the purpose of academic assistance, a minimum specified number of office hours per week immediately before or after class, or by appointment, for each course taught. Adheres to all faculty, department, employee, and university policies. Participates in programs and/or activities that enhance professional development. Reviews the SGPP Faculty Handbook prior to teaching classes to become familiar with the university's processes and procedures for course-contracted faculty. Attends and participates in faculty meetings, as assigned. Other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor. Maintains satisfactory attendance to ensure a quality learning experience for all students. Other Duties & Responsibilities As assigned
Qualifications:
Experience and Education Requirements A master's or doctoral degree is required in the area of expertise being taught - project management or business degree. PMP or industry certification required (i.e., Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner) Required to teach on the Minneapolis campus. Online teaching will be available, but on-campus teaching on the Minneapolis campus is required for this position. Experience in higher education strongly preferred Essential Knowledge & Skills Knowledge and skills in the project management disciple as outline by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Scrum Alliance.
