Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
State of NH Teacher Certification in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) (0607) or other approved certification status may be considered. Master's Degree preferred (graduate study in educational leadership preferred) Teaching experience required

Core Responsibilities of Position:
Curriculum Development and Implementation:
Review/rewrite core competencies. Align competencies with Manchester Academic Standards (with other BLILs). Begin the plan for implementation of Manchester Academic Standards. Oversee alignment of unit plans with new standards. Facilitate vertical alignment of curriculum with feeder schools. Maintain inventory databases of books, equipment, supplies and rooms and distribute materials as needed.
Assessment:
Facilitate collection and analysis of data to improve instruction and to develop, to implement, and to maintain consistent practices in: ? State tests ? Performance assessments Develop and implement common formative and summative assessments.
Instruction:
Mentor teachers Support implementation of best practices in: ? Instructional methodologies ? Classroom management ? Data collection
Professional Learning:
Facilitate meetings of teachers in structured PLCs, both during and after school. Coordinate professional learning activities for department (meeting schedules, goal setting, aligning with school and district goals).
Department Specific:
Coordinate department specific contests, awards, testing.
Specified Length/Hours of Position:
This is an affiliated (MEA) position under the Teacher Association negotiated contract, following the school calendar with additional workshop days. This job is not eligible for sponsorship.
