Job Description

Michael D. Johnson Family Professorship of Services Marketing, The Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration, SC Johnson College of Business The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invites applicants for the Michael D. Johnson Family Professorship of Services Marketing in our Marketing and Management Communications Area, with a school affiliation in the Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration. This professorship can be filled at the tenured associate or full professor level. The intended start date for this position is July 1, 2027. The position will be based in Ithaca, NY.
The following materials are required:
Letter of interest, with clear indication of position being applied for; Curriculum vitae; Up to three research papers; Three recommendation letters; Report of courses taught and evidence of teaching effectiveness; and Any other supporting documents, such as curriculum development materials Consistent with Cornell's practice, appointment to academic positions requires candidates to disclose relevant information about their prior employment including whether they have been found to have violated institutional or employer policies related to or governing unlawful discrimination and harassment, academic and research misconduct, or financial misconduct. In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the minimum annual base salary range for this position is $220,000 - $450,000. This pay range represents base pay only (for 9 months, paid over 12 months) and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other items. Cornell University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
