Plaster School of Business at Cedarville University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance . The Opportunity:

The successful candidate will primarily teach courses in Cedarville's financial planning curriculum. Depending on the candidate's expertise and program needs, courses may include: Introduction to Financial Planning Investments Retirement Planning Risk Management and Insurance Estate Planning Portfolio Management Corporate Finance Other finance courses based on the candidate's expertise In addition to teaching, the faculty member will advise and mentor students, contribute to the continued growth of the finance program, and help strengthen relationships with financial planning and wealth management professionals.

Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will: Teach undergraduate finance courses, primarily in financial planning, in addition to broader business classes as needed (e.g., statistics). Advise and mentor students academically, professionally, and spiritually. Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into finance courses. Maintain professional engagement with the finance and financial planning professions. Build relationships with industry professionals, alumni, and employers to support internships, networking, and career opportunities for students. Contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and School and University service. Maintain appropriate scholarly or professional activity consistent with University expectations.

Position Requirements:

Qualified candidates should possess one of the following : An earned Ph.D., D.B.A., or other appropriate terminal degree in finance, financial planning, or a related field; or A master's degree in finance, financial planning, or a related field , along with significant professional experience and appropriate professional credentials. For candidates without a terminal degree, the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) certification or another recognized financial planning, investment, or wealth management designation is strongly preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A desire to mentor students and help prepare them for successful careers. A commitment to biblical integration in and out of the classroom. Ideal candidates will have:

Professional experience in financial planning, wealth management, investments, financial advisory services, or another area of finance.
