Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Business/Computer and Information Technology Teacher to inspire and educate students in the fascinating worlds of business principles, computer science, and information technology. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop engaging curricula, foster critical thinking, and prepare students for higher education and careers in rapidly evolving tech fields. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of teaching expertise, technical knowledge, and innovative instructional strategies to create an energetic learning environment that motivates students to excel. Duties Design and deliver comprehensive lessons on business concepts, computer applications, programming, and information systems that align with curriculum standards. Develop innovative instructional materials utilizing learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and classroom participation, providing constructive feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning for diverse student populations. Mentor students in their academic pursuits, offering guidance on coursework, research projects, and career pathways in business and technology sectors. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans, participate in faculty meetings, and contribute to school-wide educational initiatives. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance assessments while ensuring compliance with educational policies. Skills Strong knowledge of business principles combined with expertise in computer science topics such as programming languages, networking, cybersecurity, and information systems. Proficiency in teaching advanced mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, discrete math, and their applications in technology contexts. Experience with curriculum development tailored to various educational levels including higher education teaching and special education needs. Familiarity with laboratory experience related to scientific research areas like biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, and dissection techniques. Skilled in instructional design using modern learning technology platforms; adept at lesson planning and assessment strategies. Excellent communication skills for working with students of diverse backgrounds; capable of mentoring and providing academic advising. Proven classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques to foster a disciplined yet engaging learning atmosphere. Experience working within private school environments or Montessori settings is a plus; familiarity with standardized testing procedures is essential. Ability to collaborate effectively with library services staff for research support; experience in education administration is advantageous.
