Health Systems Management Assistant/Associate - Appointment Stream (NTS) The Department of Health Policy & Management, School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh is seeking a practice-focused faculty member, in a non-tenure stream appointment, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and leadership in academic programs. Candidates with practice experience and educational backgrounds in health administration, health services management, business administration, organizational studies or related fields are encouraged to apply. Health care industry experience in a payer, provider, not-for-profit, government, or consulting is strongly preferred. Teaching emphasis will focus on management-related areas, including any of the following:

Introduction to the US Health Care System;
Health Care Management;
Strategic Management;
Operations Management;
Health Care Finance;
Quality,
Human Resources Management;
Leadership;
Case Analysis; or
Applied Problem-Solving.

The successful candidate will be closely involved with teaching and mentoring in the Department's graduate programs including its Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Public Health (MPH), and MHA/MBA programs. The teaching and mentoring may also involve undergraduate students in the School of Public Health's Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) program. Areas of responsibility will include students' integrative experiences, professional development activities, curriculum development, accreditation, job placement, and alumni relations. This position is a full time 12-month appointment and requires teaching four 3-credit courses annually. Qualifications The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate courses in the Department and mentor master's students.
