Job Description

School of Business Part-time Teaching Position for Global Experiences Programs BUS-Grad Business Administration - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - ( 26001714 ) The Organizations & Entrepreneurship Area at the School of Business invites applications from interested professionals in Western PA for one part-time faculty position. We are seeking individuals with a business graduate degree from an AACSB-accredited institution. Additional qualifications include experience in one or more of the following: Prior experience leading or participating in study abroad programs Expertise or demonstrated knowledge related to the program's academic theme of conducting business in Germany Ability to manage group dynamics and handle crises calmly Cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural communication skills Clean background check; valid passport
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Academic o Develop a syllabus that integrates on-site experiences with academic content o Create assignments, assessments, and grading rubrics o Lead lectures, discussions, and reflections both in the classroom and at field sites o Connect course content to specific German businesses and cultural sites • Pre-Departure o Attend and/or lead pre-departure orientation sessions for students o Coordinate with the study abroad office on itinerary, housing, and logistics o Complete required faculty-led program training (risk management, emergency protocols, Title IX abroad, etc.) o On-Site (In Germany) o Accompany and supervise students throughout the duration of the program o Organize and lead site visits, excursions, and experiential learning activities o Serve as the primary point of contact for students 24/7 (in loco parentis role) o Manage day-to-day logistics (transportation, lodging check-ins, meals, etc.) o Support student conduct issues, medical concerns, or emergencies in accordance with institutional policy o Liaise with local vendors, guest speakers, host institutions, or partner organizations o Maintain attendance and student records • Post-Program o Submit final grades and program assessment reports o Provide feedback to the study abroad office for program improvement Meet with students beyond the classroom as may be appropriate to their educational needs. Provide regular feedback to students in the form of in-class critiques, reviews, and graded assignments. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance.
