DIS - Alamo Colleges District - North Alamo Requisition #: req13851 Outside working hours if other than M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Schedule can include evening and/or weekends Job Summary and Description Position responsible for teaching Continuing Education classes. Continuing Education Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity contingent upon the needs of the department. Classes are offered during daytime, evenings, and weekends as well as some College holidays. Classes are offered at various times and locations during the academic year. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in the field and appropriate coursework. (If Bachelor's degree is not related to this field, at least two additional years of relevant work experience or evidence of specialized training or competency in this field is required.) Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the following areas: business communications, business administration, supervision, management communication, leadership, customer service, office procedures, small business topics including business practices and legal issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated skills with the Internet, MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior related teaching experience of at least one year in corporate business or Six Sigma is highly preferred.
