General Description:

Manages and supports School of Education (SoE) operations and student services. This includes reporting, educator preparation, and accountability policies and practices in collaboration with the Associate Dean of Education and Executive Director of Educational Leadership.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Assessment and Information Management Coordinate the accreditation and accountability requirements of the SoE Interface with OSPI Liaisons & PESB members on WAC and policy changes Coordinate program updates with Associate Dean and faculty Provide indicator data and other reports to PESB as required Complete and/or coordinate the following reports (and others as needed): Title II reports

AACTE/CAEP

reports State reports (e.g., Standard V updates, endorsement approvals) State data manuals School Annual Assessment Report Maintain on-going connection and leadership with WACTE membership and representation (e.g., attend annual meetings) Coordinate SoE partnerships, special projects, and grants School Operations In collaboration with

Associate Dean and Executive Director of Educational Leadership:

Organize the course schedule for all courses in the school (fall, J-Term, spring, and summer). Initiate and supervise the catalog changes for school programs Work with the Registrar's Office to coordinate scheduling decisions, including classroom assignment. Revise program handbooks in coordination with the Associate Dean Support the Teacher Professional Educators Advisory Board (PEAB) and support with the administrative PEAB (i.e. note-taking, questionnaires, feedback) Student Affairs Provide testing support for students as appropriate Input student testing report into state databases as needed Coordinate with the Associate Dean, endowed scholarship and fellowship application and award process Educator Effectiveness Work with local school districts, schools, and university departments to develop, recruit and support programs, including diverse candidates Write and manage grants that support alternative pathways to teaching Provide student support and advising to those enrolled in the programs, particularly ARC and MAE Support program orientations SoE and Partnerships and Professional Development (PPD) Lead PLU Teach 253 initiatives Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of state teacher preparation standards and requirements of accreditation. Knowledge of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to use written and verbal communication with a variety of audiences, such as students, faculty, partners, and agencies such as the standards board. Ability to collect, analyze, and report data for a wide audience. Ability to organize and complete reports. Skill in problem-solving; ability to schedule. Ability to learn to use technology. (including the Microsoft Office Suite). Ability to support recruitment and retention of students. Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, advisory board and outside agencies. Ability to drive to off-site in personal vehicle.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field. 3 years of job related experience. Graduate education may substitute for some experience. Finalist applicants must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:
