SALARY:
Minimum salary is $1,397 per credit hour. Actual salary is commensurate with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement At this time, the College is not providing sponsorships for Visas. The STEM and Education Division invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach introductory Chemistry beginning in the Summer 2026 semester. We anticipate offering this course in future semesters as well. Depending on background of the candidate, other courses for Fall 2026 and future semesters may be available. The current opening is to teach in person at NSCC's campus in Lynn, MA. Future offerings may be held on our campus in Lynn or Danvers or offered via other remote or hybrid modalities. The current openings are for CHE103 General Chemistry I. FUNCTIONS
Teach courses as assigned by the Division Dean. Prepare course syllabi, proctor and grade course assessments as scheduled, report final student grades, and complete student alerts by the specified dates each semester. Develop and apply assessment strategies that maximize the learning process and measure student learning outcomes Embrace the ideals of diversity and inclusiveness and support the equal rights of all people by advancing the understanding and appreciation of differences including age, race, gender, ability, religious convictions, socio-economic status, ethnic heritage, or sexual orientation. Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
Requirements:
Master's Degree or higher in Chemistry or a degree in a related field with graduate-level credit in the subject area. Evidence of commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
