In this energetic role, you will support the head coach in developing wrestling skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive athletic environment. Your enthusiasm and coaching expertise will help cultivate confidence, discipline, and sportsmanship among students of all skill levels. Responsibilities Assist the head coach in planning and executing wrestling practices, drills, and competitions Support athletes with skill development, technique refinement, and conditioning exercises Promote a safe and inclusive environment by enforcing behavior management policies and safety protocols Help organize team events, travel arrangements, and equipment management Provide mentorship and encouragement to students, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship Contribute to scouting efforts by observing opponents and providing feedback during matches Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and school staff regarding team activities and progress Skills Prior experience in sports coaching or physical education instruction Knowledge of wrestling techniques, rules, and strategies Background in martial arts such as Karate, Judo or other combat sports is a plus Experience working with children or adolescents in a childcare or teaching capacity Familiarity with swimming, climbing, cheerleading or basketball enhances coaching versatility Strong behavior management skills to motivate students and promote positive conduct Ability to lead physical activities safely within health club or gym environments Excellent communication skills for working effectively with students, parents, and staff This role is perfect for passionate individuals eager to develop their coaching skills while supporting young athletes' growth.
