JOB DESCRIPTION
Assistant Volleyball Coach Temporary Qualifications:
Current Alabama Teacher's Certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position Previous Experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches' Education Program Must have or be willing to obtain CDL Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of volleyball and a willingness to examine new theories and procedures
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
: Assists the Head Volleyball coach with instructing student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical conditioning necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success Ability to work with players, parents, administration, and other coaches Assists the head volleyball coach with supervising athletes during practices and competition To adhere to the MPS Athletics Code of Ethics and Conduct for Sports Coaches Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sport
