Job Description
Position Information Position Title Assistant Soccer Coach Status Full Time Job Summary The Assistant Soccer Coach supports-the Head Coach in all phases of the intercollegiate soccer program, with a focus on training, recruiting, and student-athlete development. Essential Job Duties Assist in planning and conducting practice sessions and game strategies. Identify and recruit qualified student-athletes consistent with institutional standards. Monitor student-athlete academic progress and well-being. Manage administrative duties including travel logistics, equipment, and compliance paperwork. Coordinate video analysis, scouting reports, and statistical tracking. Support community engagement and fundraising activities. Serve as a mentor and advocate for student-athletes. Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Master's preferred. Experience coaching soccer at the collegiate, club, or high school level. CPR/AED certification. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of collegiate coaching or elite club-level coaching experience. Previous playing experience at the collegiate or professional level. Experience assisting with recruiting. scouting, and student-athlete development. Physical Demands Ability to demonstrate soccer techniques, drills, movements, and conditioning exercises to student-athletes. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, and move freely on uneven outdoor surfaces for extended periods during practices and games. Must be able to lift and carry equipment such as soccer balls, training cones, goals, water coolers, and medical kits weighing up to 35—50 lbs. Visual and auditory acuity necessary to observe student-athlete performance, identify safety hazards. and communicate effectively during practices and competitions.
