Full Job Description Pay:
$62,000 to $64,000 in year one, with a written path to $100,000. Raises every quarter you earn them, a raise and a bonus every year you stay, and a share of the gym's growth. The plan is spelled out below, and we walk through the exact numbers on the first call.Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 11 AM to 8 PM. 40 hours a week. No weekends.ABOUT SEQUOIA SEQUOIA
is a semi-private strength training gym in Cahaba Heights. Our members are adults 35 and up who are not athletes and do not want to be. They want to get strong, stay strong, and keep training for years. Sessions are capped at four members, twice a week, 45 minutes each. We opened in June 2026, we are growing, and we are hiring our second coach.WHO THIS IS FOR
This is a career, not a stopover. We are building this role for someone who will still be here in five years, and the pay plan is designed to reward exactly that. The people who do well here are people people. You will spend most of your day with members who are nervous, busy, or tired, and your job is to make them feel looked after and get them stronger anyway. We can teach the technical side of coaching. We cannot teach warmth, attention, or the instinct to notice when someone is about to drift. If members have ever said "she remembers everything about me" or "he made me feel like I belonged on day one," you are who we are looking for.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Coach evening semi-private sessions, up to four members at a time, inside our programming system Own the relationships and retention of the members you coach Write and adjust workouts within the SEQUOIA method Appear in and help create social media content and ads Keep the gym clean and ready every day Maintain your NASM certification and keep learning Pitch in on whatever a small business needs that week, because some weeks that list will surprise both of usWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU NASM CPT

Year one: $62,000 to $64,000, paid hourly starting at $30.00 for a 40-hour week.Quarterly raises:
$0.50 an hour every quarter your members rate you highly, stay, and you coach within the SEQUOIA method.Anniversary raise:
$200 a month added to your pay every year you stay, permanently. It stacks.Anniversary bonus:
$500 every year on your anniversary.Growth bonus:
$100 a quarter for every member the gym holds above 80, with no cap. At 100 members that is $8,000 a year. At 120 it is $16,000.Time off:
unlimited paid time off with approval. Put together, a coach who earns every quarter is at $84,000 in year four before any growth bonus, and past $100,000 as the gym grows.HOW TO APPLY 1.
