Job Title:
Cheer Coach (Part‑Time)
Location:
755 N 114th Ave, Avondale, AZ 85323
Program Duration:
repeated year‑round
Hours:
2-4 hours per week (plus occasional weekend events)
Compensation:
Competitive, based on experience Responsibilities Plan and lead Level 1 competitive cheer practices Teach foundational skills in stunting, motions, jumps, tumbling, and dance Create and clean routine choreography appropriate for Level 1 competition standards Provide weekly progress updates to program leadership Encourage athlete growth, confidence, and teamwork Maintain organized, productive, and structured practices Culture & Expectations Positive, high-energy coaching environment focused on athlete development Zero tolerance for bullying, disrespect, or inappropriate conduct from coaches, athletes, or staff Professional communication at all times Coaches are expected to correct and guide athletes with patience, structure, and consistency We prioritize discipline through encouragement, accountability, and skill-building—not negativity or profanity What We're Looking For Experience in cheerleading (All-Star, school, or competitive programs preferred) Ability to coach Level 1 skills and progressions safely and effectively Strong leadership and communication skills Passion for working with youth athletes in a development-focused program Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
