PRN / As-Needed Job Description We are seeking dependable and motivated EMT Skills Proctors to support hands-on EMT training and skills evaluations. This role is ideal for EMS professionals who are passionate about education, mentorship, and maintaining high training standards. Proctors work alongside the lead instructor to guide students, reinforce proper technique, and—when designated—evaluate student performance during skills labs and testing sessions. Schedule PRN (as-needed; no guaranteed hours) Approximately 5-10 shifts per month available Weekday shifts: 8:00 AM

• 5:30 PM Weekend shifts: 8:00 AM
• 5:00 PM Preference given to candidates with consistent availability Compensation $20
• $40 per hour Rate determined by certification level and instructional experience Scope of Authority Assist with skills instruction, coaching, and student support during labs Evaluate and document student performance during skills testing when assigned Ensure all evaluations follow standardized criteria and program guidelines Maintain consistency and objectivity in all student assessments Responsibilities Proctor EMT psychomotor skills labs and exams Provide clear, constructive, and professional feedback to students Ensure adherence to standardized curriculum, testing standards, and safety protocols Assist with setup, breakdown, and organization of training equipment and stations Maintain a structured, professional, and supportive learning environment Professional Expectations Strict adherence to established curriculum and evaluation standards (no deviation from approved methods during testing) Maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries with students at all times Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and preparedness for scheduled shifts Communicate effectively with instructors and team members Physical Requirements Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods (8+ hours) Ability to kneel, bend, and move between skills stations Ability to lift and move training equipment (approximately 25-50 lbs) Ability to demonstrate EMT skills as needed Qualifications Current EMT certification in good standing (required) Paramedic certification (preferred) Prior teaching or instructional experience (strongly preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to evaluate performance objectively and consistently Preferred Attributes Experience with EMT skills instruction or testing Familiarity with standardized psychomotor testing environments Passion for EMS education and student development How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief summary of your EMS and/or teaching experience.
