Coaching Teaching Full Job Description Job Description Junior High Volleyball Coach C Team - Fall 2026 Tempe Preparatory Academy Tempe Preparatory Academy is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Junior High Volleyball C Team Coach to lead our girls volleyball team for the Fall 2026 season . We are looking for a coach who is passionate about teaching the fundamentals of volleyball, encouraging sportsmanship, and building a positive, team-first culture for young student-athletes. Fall 2025 (August-October) Candidate Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Prior volleyball coaching or instructional experience preferred Knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and game strategy Ability to engage and motivate junior high students Strong communication and leadership skills Passion for youth development and foundational skill-building Required Certifications (to be completed within 2 weeks of hire): NFHS Coaching Certification (Fundamentals of coaching AND Level 1 cert) Current CPR/AED Card Current First Aid Card NFHS Concussion Training NFHS Heat and Illness Prevention Training Valid DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card with IVP# Completion of school-provided training for student transportation (white buses) before season begins Responsibilities Plan and lead volleyball practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship Teach and reinforce core techniques including passing, setting, serving, hitting, and defensive positioning Create a supportive environment where players feel encouraged to learn and grow Communicate effectively with athletes and parents regarding schedules, expectations, and performance Supervise student-athletes during practices and matches, ensuring safety and appropriate conduct Coordinate team participation in league matches and tournaments in accordance with school and league policies Join Us!
