Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated volleyball coaches to become a head or assistant coach at Butte Elite Volleyball Club. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of the sport and the ability to educate and inspire athletes across various skill levels. This role entails creating a positive and engaging environment that fosters teamwork, skill development, self-learning, and sportsmanship.
Timeframe and travel:
Boys season - begins in August, ends in November Girls season - begins in December, ends in April Practice times are typically in the evening (5-9pm) Practices held in Chico, CA Tournament travel to Redding and/or Sacramento Head coach pay is $3,000 Assistant coach pay is $1,850 Responsibilities Develop and implement practice sessions that enhance players' skills and understanding of volleyball Conduct regular practices with a focus on proper techniques and skill-building Educate athletes on the rules of the game, emphasizing sportsmanship and teamwork Provide constructive feedback to athletes to facilitate their improvement Coordinate in-match strategies to support athletes during competitions Cultivate a positive team culture that encourages participation, effort, and respect among players and coaches Communicate practice and game schedules to team parents Collaborate with parents, staff, and other coaches to promote the volleyball program within the community Requirements Previous coaching and/or playing experience in volleyball is preferred Knowledge of volleyball techniques, strategies, and rules Willingness to learn new coaching techniques and skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Strong emotional intelligence Prior experience working with children is a plus Availability to work weekends as necessary Must pass AAU background check Join Butte Elite Volleyball Club and contribute to the growth and development of young adults, leaders, athletes and volleyballers in the region!
