Legacy Starts Here High School AAU Basketball Coach Trinity Legacy Basketball Position Type:

High School / 15U-17U Position Summary Trinity Legacy Basketball is seeking a dedicated and experienced High School AAU Basketball Coach to lead and develop athletes preparing for high school and competitive AAU basketball. This position is focused on more than running practices and coaching games. The coach will help players improve their conditioning, stamina, basketball IQ, fundamentals, discipline, and overall game readiness . The ideal coach understands how to challenge high-school athletes while creating an environment built on accountability, development, teamwork, and character. Key Responsibilities Plan and lead structured practices, workouts, and player-development sessions. Develop athletes through conditioning, endurance, stamina, agility, and basketball-specific fitness . Lead drills focused on ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork, defense, rebounding, transition play, and game situations. Prepare athletes for the physical pace and expectations of high school basketball . Teach offensive and defensive concepts while improving players' basketball IQ and decision-making. Identify individual player strengths and development areas and provide constructive coaching and feedback. Help players develop confidence, discipline, effort, communication, and accountability. Coach scheduled AAU games, tournaments, scrimmages, and team activities as assigned. Work collaboratively with Trinity Legacy leadership and other coaches to maintain consistency across the program. Communicate appropriately and professionally with athletes, parents, coaches, and program leadership. Reinforce Trinity Legacy's core values of Faith, Discipline, Community, and Character . Maintain a safe, positive, competitive, and development-focused environment. Qualifications Previous basketball coaching experience preferred; high school, AAU, club, or competitive youth basketball experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, drills, conditioning, and player development. Ability to work effectively with athletes ages approximately 14-17. Must be dependable and available approximately 8-10 hours per week , including practices and some weekends for games/tournaments. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to hold athletes accountable while maintaining a positive coaching environment. Must successfully complete any required background screening/Livescan and program requirements. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Compensation This is a stipend-based coaching position , not an hourly position. Stipend amount will be discussed based on experience, team assignment, schedule, and responsibilities. What Success Looks Like A successful coach will help athletes become noticeably better prepared for high school basketball, not only in skill, but in their ability to run the floor, maintain intensity, execute under fatigue, compete consistently, understand the game, and respond to coaching .
