We aim to impact and revitalize communities through the development of education and other supportive partnerships.
Job Purpose:
Entrepreneur High School Highland is seeking a dedicated and experienced Boys High School Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach to lead our varsity baseball team for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and developing student-athletes to achieve their highest potential both on and off the field. The Head Coach will be expected to create a positive and inclusive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and personal growth, while focusing on baseball-specific skills, game strategy, and injury prevention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the head coach with instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport. Assess player's skills, monitor players during competition and practice, and keeps the head Coach informed of the athletic performance of the students. Maintain a record of team statistics and requirements for lettering. (For both head coach and athletic director) Work within the basic framework and philosophy of the head coach of that sport and assists with determining game strategy. Assist the head Coach with supervising athletes during practices and competitions. Model sport-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators. Help in the planning and implementation of both in-season and out-of-season conditioning and weight programs. Attendance should be consistent. Never leave practices, games, or any other contest where a student's attendance is requested until the last student has left. Perform other such duties that are consistent with the nature of the position and that may be requested by the head coach.
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred:
One (1) year of experience or participation as a varsity athlete at high school level or above in the specific sport for which you apply.
Physical demands:
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects Ability to physically demonstrate and participate in sport-specific drills and activities. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as necessary for practices, games, and events.
Compensation & Benefits:
The Assistant Athletic Coach role in a RJA is a supplemental part-time position. Compensation may vary from year to year based on the number of programs and student participation levels. Number of junior varsity and varsity programs; as well as the number of students attending the school. As such, the compensation can vary from year-to-year.
