$16.90-18.00 About the Role Do you have endless energy, a playful spirit, and a heart for working with kids? At Sweet Peas Fresno, our Gym Coaches teach gymnastics and Lil Ninjas classes to children ages 0-8 in a safe, positive, and engaging environment. We're looking for coaches with gymnastics experience, who also bring enthusiasm and a love for working with kids. Through movement-based activities like rolling, balancing, climbing, and jumping, you'll help kids build coordination, strength, focus, and confidence — laying the foundation for lifelong physical and cognitive development. Many parents notice improved attention spans, listening skills, and impulse control after just a few months in the program, along with the physical benefits: core strength, balance, agility, and spatial awareness that support future sports. Depending on scheduling needs, coaches may also assist with camps, Parent's Night Out events, open gyms, and community events. What You'll Do Lead high-energy gymnastics and Lil Ninjas classes, following our curriculum and lesson plans Lead warm-ups, rotations, skill instruction, games, and class activities Use imaginative play and creative instruction to teach foundational skills like balance, coordination, and listening Observe and evaluate student progress, adjusting instruction to meet individual needs Supervise students at all times, follow gym safety procedures, and use proper spotting techniques Provide positive, constructive feedback to help students build skills and confidence Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and achievements Arrive early to set up equipment and teaching areas, and help keep equipment organized and safe Attend team meetings and stay engaged with company communications and events Required Qualifications Experience in gymnastics or ninja(competitive, recreational, or coaching) Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with children Ability to actively participate in gymnastics and movement-based activities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain a safe, organized class environment Ability to support other team members with a positive attitude Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages, abilities, and learning styles Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and climb for extended periods, and lift/carry up to 30-50 lbs Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with children (teaching, coaching, babysitting, daycare, etc.) Coaching or instructional experience in ninja, cheer, dance, or other sports Experience working with neurodivergent students Availability for multiple weekday afternoon/evening shifts plus Saturdays Perks Paid training & mentorship to help you grow as a coach Growth opportunities, including potential leadership roles A flexible, part-time schedule A fun, rewarding job helping kids build confidence, coordination, and a lifelong love of movement
Pay:
$16.90 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 - 25.0 per week
