Thursdays Make a Difference Through Early Childhood Development First Touch Soccer is looking for warm, patient and engaging individuals to support a small-group youth enrichment program at a Montessori school in Garden Grove. This program uses simple soccer-based games, movement and play to introduce young children to physical activity while helping them build confidence, coordination, social skills and positive relationships with others. This is not a traditional soccer coaching role. You do not need to be a highly experienced soccer coach. What matters most is your ability to connect with young children, keep them engaged and create a safe, positive and encouraging environment. We are particularly interested in people with experience working with young children through early childhood education, Montessori, preschool, childcare, camps, recreation, teaching, mentoring or similar environments. What You'll Do Lead fun, age-appropriate soccer, movement and play activities for children ages 3-5. Create a warm, safe and encouraging environment where every child feels included. Use games, movement and positive reinforcement to encourage participation, cooperation and confidence. Support children's physical development, social skills and enjoyment of being active. Adapt activities to suit different personalities, energy levels and abilities. Actively supervise children and help ensure activities and equipment are used safely. Communicate professionally and positively with parents, guardians and school staff when needed. Arrive prepared, on time and reliably fulfil accepted assignments. Program resources and activity materials are available to support contractors in delivering the program. The program will run for approximately 8-10 weeks, finishing during the first week of December.
