Job Description
Beckman High School Track & Field is looking for a dedicated and energetic Sprints Coach to join our coaching staff. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with high school-aged athletes , understands the demands of track and field sprinting, and is passionate about helping young athletes develop both on and off the track. Position Responsibilities Coach and develop athletes in sprint events, including the 100m, 200m, 400m, and related sprint work. Design and lead effective sprint workouts appropriate for high school athletes. Teach proper sprint mechanics, technique, conditioning, and race strategy. Provide strong mentorship and build positive relationships with student-athletes. Help athletes set and work toward individual and team goals. Promote a positive, competitive, and supportive team environment. Communicate effectively with athletes and other members of the coaching staff. Prioritize athlete safety, sportsmanship, accountability, and personal development. Qualifications Strong knowledge and experience in track & field sprint events . Experience working with or coaching high school-aged athletes preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and mentorship skills. Ability to create an encouraging yet competitive training environment. Reliable, energetic, and willing to be an active presence at practices and meets. Prior coaching or competitive track & field experience is preferred. Schedule & Commitment Minimum commitment: 12 hours per week
