MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKDAY AFTERNOONS
Plan and deliver age-appropriate sports training sessions across various disciplines such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, and martial arts. Lead sports drills, games, and competitions that emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development. Ensure the safety of all participants by supervising activities closely and adhering to safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures. Manage behavior and motivate children to stay engaged while fostering a positive team environment. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, participation, and any concerns. Maintain equipment, facilities, and supplies to ensure a safe and organized environment for all activities. Stay current with sports-specific training instructions and coaching techniques to enhance program quality. Requirements Prior experience working with children in sports or physical education settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated sports coaching experience in disciplines such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing or martial arts. Lifeguard experience or certification is a plus; familiarity with swimming is beneficial. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in child care or behavior management are advantageous. Experience teaching physical education or leading sports teams enhances your suitability for this role. Knowledge of health club or gym environments can be beneficial for program coordination.
