Rancho La Quinta is a premier private gated community in the Coachella Valley, known for its exceptional amenities, beautifully maintained grounds, and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in providing first-class recreational programs and experiences for our members. Position Overview The Tennis Coordinator plays a key role in the daily operation of the Racquet Club and serves as an important resource for members and guests. This position assists with match-making, member services, event coordination, pro shop operations, and overall support of racquet sports programming. The Tennis Coordinator is expected to demonstrate and uphold the Rancho La Quinta culture of exceptional service, professionalism, and community engagement in all interactions. Candidates must be available to work weekends, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the daily operations of the Racquet Club. Coordinate and arrange tennis matches for members based on skill level and availability. Maintain familiarity with member playing levels to ensure balanced and enjoyable match pairings. Support racquet club activities, including tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, croquet, pool, and fitness center programs as directed by management. Manage the daily needs of the tennis shop and support outside court operations. Assist with pro shop merchandising, displays, and inventory management. Process retail sales and member transactions through the Point of Sale (POS) system. Register members for events, clinics, lessons, leagues, and activities. Assist club professionals with tournaments, social events, clinics, and special programs. Help train new employees on game arranging, POS operations, opening and closing procedures, and shop responsibilities. Assist with monthly inventory counts and reporting. Answer phones and respond to member inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Ensure club policies, procedures, and standards are consistently followed. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the Racquet Club. Provide outstanding customer service to members and guests. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Tennis knowledge and playing experience preferred. Previous experience in a tennis club, country club, hospitality, recreation, retail, or customer service environment is highly desirable. Experience coordinating activities, leagues, events, or member programs is a plus. Skills and Abilities Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to build positive relationships with members and guests. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and general computer applications. Experience using Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional appearance and demeanor. Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Schedule This position requires weekend availability, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, as well as occasional holidays, tournaments, and special events. Work Location In Person•
