Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Youth Strength & Conditioning Coach to inspire young athletes and help them reach their full potential. In this dynamic role, you will design and implement age-appropriate strength, agility, and conditioning programs tailored to youth sports participants. Your enthusiasm for sports, fitness, and youth development will motivate children to build confidence, improve their athletic skills, and develop healthy habits. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while fostering a fun and safe environment for growth. Duties Develop engaging strength, conditioning, and sports-specific training programs for youth athletes across various age groups. Lead group training sessions that emphasize proper technique, safety, and progression in activities such as swimming, martial arts, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, and other sports. Monitor and assess individual athlete progress; adjust training plans to meet developmental needs and goals. Ensure all activities are conducted with a focus on safety; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and administer first aid or CPR when necessary. Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, good behavior management, and personal growth. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding athlete progress, safety protocols, and program expectations. Maintain accurate records of training sessions, athlete attendance, progress reports, and safety incidents. Skills Proven experience working with children in sports or fitness settings; background in coaching or teaching physical education is highly valued. Strong knowledge of strength & conditioning principles tailored for youth development across various sports such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing or martial arts. Lifeguard experience with swimming skills preferred; familiarity with water safety protocols is a plus. Excellent communication skills to engage children effectively and collaborate with parents or guardians. Ability to lead team activities confidently while managing behavior positively in a lively environment. Certifications in First Aid and CPR; AED operation certification is required or obtainable upon hire. Experience working within health clubs or gym environments; familiarity with sports team dynamics enhances your effectiveness. Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate young athletes and foster a fun yet disciplined atmosphere. Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 8.0 per week
