Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Part-Time Dance and Cheer Instructor to inspire and motivate young athletes and performers. In this dynamic role, you will lead engaging dance and cheerleading classes, fostering a positive environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. Your enthusiasm will help students develop their skills, learn new routines, and enjoy the thrill of performing. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work with children and sports enthusiasts, sharing your expertise in dance, cheerleading, and sports coaching while promoting physical activity and fun. Responsibilities Plan and deliver age-appropriate dance and cheerleading lessons that emphasize technique, teamwork, and performance skills Demonstrate routines and choreography clearly while providing constructive feedback to students Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for children of all skill levels Incorporate sports-specific training instruction such as soccer cheer routines or basketball cheers to enhance team spirit Manage behavior effectively to ensure a positive classroom atmosphere Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and achievements Assist in organizing performances, competitions, or showcases to showcase student talents Qualifications Prior experience working with children in a coaching or teaching capacity, preferably in dance, cheerleading, or sports instruction Strong communication skills to effectively teach students and engage with parents Knowledge of cheerleading techniques, dance routines, and sports-specific training methods such as soccer coaching or basketball cheerleading Experience with team leadership, behavior management, and fostering teamwork among young participants Certifications in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) to ensure safety during activities Join us as a Part-Time Dance and Cheer Instructor to make a positive impact through energetic teaching! Sunshine Dance & Cheer Studio is looking for a positive, energetic, and dependable instructor to join our teaching team! We are looking for someone who loves working with children and is comfortable teaching a combination of Ballet, Jazz, and Cheer , from preschool through school-age students.
Current availability needed:
Mondays and Tuesdays Additional classes and substitute opportunities may also be available. We're looking for someone who: Has dance, cheer, and/or teaching experience Enjoys working with children of different ages and levels Has strong classroom management skills Is dependable, professional, and communicates well Creates a positive, encouraging, and age-appropriate class environment Can commit consistently toMondays and Tuesdays Pay:
