LA CITY UNITED
is a competitive soccer club, run by LA City Rec and Parks, dedicated to developing the skills and talents of young athletes. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, sportsmanship, and fostering a love for the game. Our club comprises 8 teams across 4 different age groups (2011-2014) but will be expanding aggressively, and we are looking for a passionate and experienced Soccer Goalkeeper Coach to join our team.Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Soccer Goalkeeper Coach to work with our goalkeepers across various teams and age groups. The ideal candidate will have significant experience playing or coaching goalkeepers, with a deep understanding of the technical and tactical aspects of the position. While certifications are a plus, we value practical experience and a proven track record of developing goalkeeping skills more highly.Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deliver goalkeeper-specific training sessions that focus on technical skills (diving, handling, shot-stopping), tactical awareness (commanding the area, communication), and mental toughness for all goalkeepers within the program.
- Analyze goalkeeper performance through video analysis and provide personalized feedback to improve individual strengths and weaknesses.
- Collaborate with the head coach and other coaching staff to ensure goalkeeping training aligns with the team's overall strategy.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment that fosters a love for the game in goalkeepers.
- Attend coaching workshops and stay up-to-date on the latest goalkeeper coaching techniques.
- Attend training sessions and weekend games or tournaments as needed.
