We are seeking a passionate and motivated Fitness Coach/Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through fitness programs, offering personalized coaching, and ensuring an exceptional, 5 star high end fitness experience. You'll help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals, improve their overall well-being, and maintain a supportive and energetic environment in the gym.
Key Responsibilities:
Personalized Training:
Design and implement customized workout plans tailored to each client's needs, goals, and fitness levels.
Group Training:
Lead group classes and fitness sessions, creating engaging and effective routines for participants. This includes executing programming either provided to you or created by the coach.
Client Support:
Provide motivation, encouragement, and guidance during workouts to help clients stay on track and reach their goals.
Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess clients' progress through measurements, fitness tests, and feedback. Adjust plans as needed to ensure continued improvement. This includes trainer's ability to monitor the client's results with each session or class, with or without a proper testing protocol.
Education & Instruction:
Educate clients about proper exercise techniques, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Safety & Injury Prevention:
Ensure that clients perform exercises correctly to avoid injuries. Respond to any safety concerns in a timely manner.
Equipment Cleanliness & Maintenance:
Clean all equipment regularly and daily after each use as well as ensuring a consistently clean space before and after each client. This includes cleaning, wiping, moping, and vacuuming. Maintain fitness equipment, ensuring all gear is safe and in good working order.
Administrative Tasks:
Record client attendance, progress, and session plans. Assist in client onboarding and scheduling.
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on the latest fitness trends, training methods, and certifications to provide the best service to clients.
Requirements:
Certification:
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or relevant certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.)
Experience:
Proven experience in personal training or fitness coaching, with a solid understanding of exercise science. 3-5 years is prefered.
Skills:
Strong communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with individuals and groups.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with various fitness equipment, strength training, cardiovascular training, flexibility, and injury prevention.
Passion:
A genuine enthusiasm for fitness and helping others achieve their health and fitness goals.
First Aid/CPR Certified:
Preferred but not required.
Physical Fitness:
The ability to demonstrate exercises and maintain a high level of physical fitness.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with specialized populations (e.g., seniors, athletes, individuals with injuries). Group fitness or specific class certifications (e.g., Strength, Olympic Lifting, HIIT, yoga, Pilates, etc.). A positive, energetic attitude and the ability to create a motivating atmosphere.
Compensation:
Class or hourly rate. Comped club membership.
