Job Summary:

Assistants will work with the band director to assist with marching band during the fall, winter programs during the winter, and parades during the spring. Coaches will be responsible for overseeing different aspects of the band, including color guard, percussion, and visual instruction. Applicants must have the ability to work well with students, staff, and parents.

HHS Assistant Band Stipend Descriptions:

Percussion Instructor Responsibilities (Assistant Band 1) Fall Marching Season (July 1

  • November 1) Arrange/compose percussion parts.

Oversee percussion rehearsals and sectionals throughout the season.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of and ability to teach skills and fundamentals specific to program and to a varied ability group. Ability to work in a diverse population. Prior experience preferred. Must believe in building positive relationships. Meet any state, district or school requirements. Must be available to work with student members according to job description schedule. Must be 1st Aide/CPR Certified or be able to pass certification test. Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
