British Swim School's fun and gentle teaching methods focus on water safety, survival skills, and stroke development for all ages starting from 3 months old! Job Summary We are seeking energetic and dedicated Swim Instructors to join our team in inspiring confidence and safety in swimmers of all levels. As a Swim Instructor, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons, promote water safety awareness, and foster a positive learning environment for children and adults alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your coaching skills. Responsibilities Lead swimming lessons for children and adults, tailoring instruction to individual skill levels and needs Demonstrate proper swimming techniques, water safety procedures, and stroke development strategies Maintain a safe and supportive environment by enforcing pool rules and supervising participants at all times Communicate effectively with clients, parents, and team members to provide progress updates and address questions Assist with water safety drills, emergency procedures, including AED operation and first aid as needed Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement Support the overall organization of classes, including setup, cleanup, and equipment management Requirements Prior lifeguard experience or certification (including AED operation and CPR) preferred Strong swimming skills with experience in various strokes and water safety techniques Experience working with children or in sports coaching environments such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts is highly valued Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of diverse ages Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively in a group setting Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed Relevant sports-specific training instruction or coaching experience is a plus Join us as a Swim Instructor to inspire confidence in swimmers while building your coaching expertise!
