Job Description

Overview:
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is looking for enthusiastic and skilled Ski Instructors to join our Learning Center team. Ski Instructors are responsible for teaching guests of all ages and ability levels, helping them build confidence and skills while ensuring a safe, fun, and memorable mountain experience. Whether you're an experienced instructor or looking to share your passion for skiing for the first time, this is an exciting opportunity to spend your season on the slopes.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach skiing lessons to individuals and groups of varying ages and ability levels. Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and encouragement to help guests improve their skills. Foster a safe learning environment by monitoring conditions and reinforcing safety practices. Assist with lesson check-ins and guest inquiries. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Serve as a positive ambassador of the Ski Park by providing excellent guest service both on and off the snow. Maintain professional conduct and appearance while representing the Learning Center.
Qualifications:
Strong skiing ability; must be able to confidently ski a variety of terrain. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with people. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Teaching or coaching experience preferred.
PSIA/AASI
certification is a plus (higher pay for certified instructors). Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak ski season days.
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay rate: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour, depending on certification and experience. Private Lesson Bonus Pay Eligible. Seasonal position with both full-time and part-time opportunities.
