Job Description

Overview:
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Snowboard Instructors to join our Learning Center team. Snowboard Instructors are responsible for teaching guests of all ages and ability levels, helping them progress in their riding skills while ensuring a safe, fun, and memorable mountain experience. This is a great opportunity to share your passion for snowboarding and spend your season on the slopes.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach snowboarding lessons to individuals and groups ranging from first-timers to advanced riders. Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and encouragement tailored to different learning styles. Ensure guest safety by monitoring conditions and reinforcing proper techniques and mountain etiquette. Assist with lesson check-ins, guest inquiries, and daily program operations. Create a positive, supportive, and motivating environment for all students. Act as an ambassador for Mt. Shasta Ski Park by providing excellent guest service both on and off the mountain. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while representing the Learning Center.
Qualifications:
Strong snowboarding ability; must be able to ride confidently on varied terrain. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, enthusiastic, and motivated to help others learn. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience preferred.
AASI/PSIA
certification is a plus (higher pay for certified instructors). Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak season periods.
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay rate: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour, depending on certification and experience. Private Lesson Bonus Pay Eligible. Seasonal position with both full-time and part-time opportunities.
