Soccer Instructor Mission Viejo Family YMCA - Mission Viejo, CA 92692 Apply Overview Salary Range $16.90 - $20.45 Hourly Position Type Part Time Apply Description The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for part-time Soccer Instructor positions. This role is a profound opportunity to directly impact the lives of the communities we serve by fostering genuine connections, practicing exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Soccer Instructor will help to create an inclusive and engaging experience while promoting pro grams that encourage health and wellness within our community.
Work Schedule:
Candidates must be available to work Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Additional opportunities to assist with other sports-related activities and tasks may also be available.
Purpose and Impact:
Ensure Facility Readiness:
Inspect, prepare, and maintain sports fields and equipment to create a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Facilitate Participant Experience:
Guide participants through registration and check-in, manage program paperwork, and deliver clear communication of program details. Officiate games and maintain accurate scoring when assigned.
Inspire Positive Engagement:
Champion fairness and inclusion by supervising activities, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment where every participant feels valued and supported.
Build Positive Connections:
Engage with participants and families to foster a friendly atmosphere, answer questions, and share information that enhances their overall experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Age:
Must be 16 years with a valid work permit
Experience & Skills:
E xperience in customer service preferred. Must have experience playing or coaching soccer. Must be able to work with children ages 3 to 15 years old. Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
Certifications:
First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA). Bene fits &
