Job Description
Monterey Park Manta Rays (MPMR) swim team is seeking a qualified Coach who has a passion for swimming and enjoys working with youths. MPMR is an all-year-round USA Swimming club operated in the suburbs of Los Angeles. We are a non-profit, parent board- governed, and coach-directed youth swim team. The team currently has over 140 swimmers and continues to grow. This position will be working with our 14 and under age-group swimmers. We are seeking an ideal candidate who is outgoing and energetic with creative teaching skills, enthusiastic about coming to practice, and has a flexible personality. The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact and connect effectively with swimmers, parents, Board of Directors, and work well in group and team settings. More importantly, this candidate must possess the ability to motivate, inspire, and foster a positive learning environment for swimmers of varying abilities. Under the supervision of the Head coach, this individual will be an integral member of a coaching staff that works closely together to uphold our team's mission and vision and to provide an environment where athletes can have fun and learn safety standards, while making an uncompromising commitment to the pursuit of excellence in swimming. Together with the coaching staff and the Board of Directors, the Head Age Coach will help foster a positive and supportive team culture that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
