$19.00 Pay Range Information Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. Job Description Summary Assist the head coach with responsibilities associated with one or more Chapman University Division III athletics teams. Duties include coaching, recruiting, fundraising and other duties as assigned in support of the athletics department. Flexible schedule and some travel may be required. Successful candidate is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by the University and NCAA. This position will have campus security authority (CSA) related responsibilities under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, which is a federal law requiring disclosure of information about crimes on and around campus. Responsibilities Team Practice Preparation Assist in planning and organizing daily practice sessions Develop practice plans in collaboration with head coach Set up and break down equipment and training stations Ensure athletes are prepared physically and mentally for practice Game Day Coaching Provide feedback and instruction to athletes during competition Maintain communication with coaching staff Ensure team is prepared with necessary equipment and materials Recruiting Identify and evaluate potential recruits in accordance with team needs and program goals Assist head coach in maintaining recruiting database and communication records Other Duties as Assigned Support team operations such as travel planning, equipment inventory, and facility scheduling Assist with team events, community outreach, and fundraising initiatives Perform administrative tasks related to program compliance and communication Maintain a positive and professional environment that supports student-athlete development Required Qualifications Experience in providing administrative support in a professional office. Relevant playing and/or coaching experience at the college level. Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and priorities Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate with a diverse community of students, faculty, coaches, administrators and staff Desired Qualifications Proficiency with word-processing software and database management Special Instructions to Applicants At Chapman University, we believe collaboration thrives through in-person engagement.
