Full-Time/Part Time-Non-Exempt About Fit For Life Fit For Life is dedicated to promoting health and wellness through inclusive fitness programs tailored to individuals of all abilities. Our mission is to empower clients—especially those with developmental disabilities—by providing structured exercise programs that enhance physical and mental well-being. We are looking for an Fitness Coach to join our team and help design, organize, and lead engaging fitness and wellness activities. If you have a passion for helping others, a background in fitness or recreation, and strong leadership skills, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and oversee fitness activities tailored to individuals with diverse needs and abilities. Create structured workout programs that include stretching, strength training, mobility exercises, and recreational activities. Collaborate with trainers and caregivers to ensure sessions align with client goals. Motivate and engage participants to promote a fun and inclusive environment. Track attendance and progress, providing feedback and reports as needed. Maintain a safe and organized workout space, ensuring equipment is used correctly. Provide transportation for clients to and from the gym using a company vehicle as needed. Ensure all transportation procedures prioritize client safety and timely arrival. Operate a company vehicle, requiring a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Assist in onboarding new participants and assessing their fitness levels. Organize special events, group activities, and wellness challenges to encourage participation. Communicate with caregivers, families, and support staff regarding clients' progress and participation. Ensure all activities comply with safety and health regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience in fitness training, recreation, or activity coordination (preferred but not required). Background working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to adapt workouts and activities based on individual needs. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (required for operating a company vehicle). Comfortable with transporting clients to and from the gym in a company vehicle. Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for promoting fitness and wellness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
