Our NanoSoccer model uses modern game-based teaching methods, small-group formats, and age-appropriate activities to create an environment where players develop skills, confidence, decision-making, and a lifelong love of the game. Coaches are responsible for delivering our professionally designed curriculum and creating a positive, energetic, and supportive environment where every player can thrive. What You'll Do Deliver engaging training sessions and game experiences using the SoCal Youth Sports NanoSoccer methodology and curriculum. Guide players through age-appropriate activities focused on skill development, game understanding, confidence, and teamwork. Create a fun, safe, inclusive, and high-energy learning environment for all participants. Support player development by providing encouragement, feedback, and positive coaching throughout sessions. Manage groups effectively while maintaining strong standards of behavior, sportsmanship, and respect. Communicate professionally with parents, players, and staff regarding schedules, player experiences, and program updates. Follow program standards, coaching expectations, and teaching methods consistently across all sessions. Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and leadership to ensure a high-quality player experience throughout the organization. Encourage healthy lifestyles, character development, and positive habits through sport. Basic Qualifications Experience working with children in coaching, teaching, childcare, camp, or youth development environments. Passion for working with young athletes and creating positive experiences through sports. Strong communication, leadership, and group management skills. Ability to follow and deliver a structured coaching curriculum and session plan. Positive attitude, reliability, energy, and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications Soccer coaching or playing experience. Experience in youth sports, physical education, camps, or recreation programs. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience in other sports or movement-based activities is a plus. Interest in modern player development and game-based coaching methods.
